Rules
by: The GMs
-----------------------------------------------------------
These
are guidelines and may be altered or updated depending on the
situation.
No Godmodding:
--- Don't control other characters.
Language:
--- Limit swearing.
Age:
--- Must be over the age of 15 due to the
Mature setting of the story
Content:
--- PG-13 Content in posts; if you want to go further, (and the other party is
consenting) do so in PMs; better yet, go play in an Adult game.
Don't Confirm Hits:
--- Leave your actions open for the other players and Thread Leaders to respond.
Not just attacks, but anything that may have a consequence.
Have Limitations:
--- No character is ultimately perfect at everything they do. They are
people as well. Don't always dodge attacks or evade opponents, and even
fail at tasks when it seems it would best fit the story.
Dispute Settlement:
--- If two players conflict and just cannot agree, then it comes to character
sheets. Whichever seems most appropriate to succeed will do so. If
there is still disagreement, the Thread Leader or a GM may come in to settle the
dispute.
GM/Thread Leader has Final Say:
--- The GMs and the Thread Leaders are the authority figures in a game. If
you disagree with one of their decisions, speak to them in a polite, calm
manner, pointing out why you disagree with it. They will take it into
consideration, but please realize that they do have final say on a matter.
Thread Leader:
---
A Thread Leader is whomever requested the thread and is in control of the
storyline. They begin and end the story, and are in charge of tending to
all the NPCs. They may choose to make their game open for all or
invite/ask for permission only. They may also choose to invite others as
thread leaders as well.
A Thread Leader is, in essence, the GM of their thread. They may waive the
hitting rules, but should only do so when the story is most appropriate.
They may waive the Godmodding ruling only to post for players who haven't posted
for a while. Even if there is something with mind control, put a private
line or PM the player (s) effected and tell them what they're supposed to do and
let the character describe it. Only directly control someone if they're possessed
by another being, and you must have the player's expressed permission before
controlling them. Always remember, be fair to the other players.
